Behind the scenes

last friday we have my very own first photosession in jogja with two very beautiful girls and the other 2 talented photographers for QAy's catalog and 2011 calendar. sooooo exited






after the photosession,,, i went back to hotel and prepared cos i'm gonna see my boyfriend's fam for the first time then we go to jogja fashion week. here's my outfit

look at my hijab. i finnaly have confidence to wear that style of hijab



the plan was,, i want my model also wear this hijab style. but practically,,, i'm not a stylist. and i was so overwhelming by that photoshoot. you have no idea how does it feel to be a designer, stylist, producer, in one time,, and most of all,, for the very first time. i barely cant sleep the night before. just do as much as i can. but so far,,, i love the result. REALLY REALLY LOVE IT!!!!!!thanx guys,,, cant stop scrolling on the folder to see the pics

summer knitted top

my second finished knitting project.



well,, my boyfriend wasn't here. he used to take almost every picture about my creation. so i tried to be miss independent now. i took my own pictures . how is it??



i'm so tired of wearing plain white t-shirt under almost every little dress i made when i have to make a picture of it. so i decided to borrow my sister's prisoners shirt. dangerous idea,, dont you think? with baby pink,, and wide pipe blue denim pants.





the detail in this top is hpw i make the lower part become A-line,,, and the ruffles and the flowers. about the flowers,, my plan was these buttons :




but i cant find them anywhere in my space. so i replace them with flower shape shell beads. unfortunately,, when i unpack my suitcase when i get to bandung,,, i found them. IN MY SUITCASE!!! i have no idea how they could be there.

So proud of my self. now i can knit, crochet, sew, and make my own batik. i's always fun to learn a new skill

ruffle top dress

you dont have to have pattern drafting skill to make this dress. got the instruction here . like usual,,, i love coton. so i used cotton.

i'm not really stisfied with this dress. i follow the instruction and get used with the measurement in inches . but my chest measurement much more smaller than my full bustline... so i cant breath easily in that dress.

however,,, i love the idea. makes my boobs looks smaler and makes me looks cuter.hahaha,,,,, i'll make another one with serious pattern drafting and more accurate bust measurement

recycle dress

I used to have this "taylormade"-boring-wool-skirt long time ago. But as long as i can remember, i only wore it twice. Hate the shape,, hate the way the tailor add the darts,,, hate the "sexy-section" on just one side,, hate almost everything about that dress. (see? that's the reason i leard to sew).

So i changed this one :



into that one :









i have no more time to preparing the detail process of me making the dress,,, just showing you what i got. first,,,, i disassemble all the stitch in the skirt,,,, then i place the pattern i already made on the fabric. so chalanging,,, because i had to adjust the pattern so it would fit on the ex- cramped skirt. and dont forget to make sure every lines meet their friends. because its tartan,, you would ruin everyhing if they dont.




I also use the black cotton i used in making mu sister's dress to make this dress"s pleats. because without pleats,,, it wont fit my hips.



after finishing the dress,,, i found out that the dress makes me look round. so i add these details on the waist.

photosession outfit

i had this date and photosession for my crochet blog last wednesday in beautiful bogor botanical garden.

look at my outfit. black dress, black jeans, black shoes,, black shawl,, the only colour that i added is the purple crochet bolero that supposed to be the star.

i should've updated my blog, but i cant decide which picture should i use. i fall in love with the photographer. he make me fee soooooo pretty. hihihi,,,,,,,,

met another sister of mine,, nisa,,

she's wearing the dress that i made for her,,



making this dress isn't as easy as gesigning it,,,, much harder than i could ever imagine,,, the hardest part isn't making the pattern or sewing it,,, it only takes 2 days,,, but i spent almost 5 days just to do the finishing,,,, if you could see the neck and armhole area,,,, well,, my own design is killing me!!!! i dont wanna use layers in,, because i think it's gonna ruinning all the whole dress. the fabric is something like semitransparant cotton,and if you can see what i want for the waist area,, you would know what i mean. i just didn't know that making this little edging could be so chalanging.

a little thing from a litle skill part 1: phone case

Hey gurls,,, can you knit???? maybe a little,, like me,,

well,,, i'm giving you an idea,,, to make your knitting learning become more fun,, or you just so bored of making another shawl,, but all the stitch you know are knit and purl,, so i made this lovely ( i think) phone case

here's all you need :















later i found out that you need these stuffs too




then make a simple piece of stokinete about 3 times longer then your cellphone's widht and not wider than your cellphone's length,, because naturally it will fit your phone,,, just like t-shirt to your body,, they're elastic.

i made this simple crochet flower and sew it with the buttons














and TARAAAA!!!!!!!!!!


you can make it in less than 2 hours,,,

i have one tips for you,,,, if you have a very litle skill in knitting,,, you just know stokinete,,,, use unique yarns,,, thet has a textured,,, like these:
